In a bid to become tomorrow’s captains of industry, a group of KIS students have joined the annual Junior Achievement programme and will be competing against students from other schools in Bangkok to become the best ‘company’ of the year.
Students have to form a company and assign ‘jobs’ such as Marketing and Human Resources. They have to look at creating a product, packaging, marketing and selling it and trying to make some sort of profit as well.
The KIS Junior Achievement students are called ‘We Can’ and have produced a stylish t-shirt in a can.
They say this of their product: “We Can” strives to produce t-shirts that are low priced as well as maintaining unique, comforting quality. Stepping outside the comfort zone by producing and designing shirts that will be packaged in cans makes this product unique and eco-friendly as the can is recyclable and can be used as a piggy bank, seed container and so on.
All proceeds from the sales of the t-shirts will go directly to the Hub Saidek which is an organisation that supports at-risk children in Bangkok.
