Grade 5 Students Wow KIS Community with PYP Exhibition

Every year, Grade 5 students spend a lot of time preparing for their exhibition - a showcase of all they have learnt in Primary School. This year's transdisciplinary theme was Sharing The Planet and the title was 'Actions Build Communities'. The Central Idea was 'Active participation can lead to opportunities for the sharing of resources'.

The students spent several months working on their Exhibition projects. They were tasked with identifying and utilising their personal skills to make a difference to the community.

Their projects ranged from working to make a difference in their immediate home community by looking after stray animals in their housing estate, raising funds and awareness for the Soi Dog Cat and Dog rescue foundation (SCAD), the Camillian Home for Children Living with Disability , the Mercy Centre, Rangsit Baby Home, the Thai Red Cross, bringing music back into the community, having a book drive and raising money to support a school in Northern Thailand, supporting the post-flood operations of a school in Ayutthaya, supporting an elephant charity and many other such initiatives.

Leading up to the Exhibition students worked very hard doing research, holding events to raise funds and physically helping out at some of their chosen community service projects.

We congratulate them on all their wonderful, hard work and truly making a difference!
