The EY Prep Program

We are excited to announce that commencing in August 2024 we will be welcoming 2 year olds through the KIS Early Years Foundation Stage program. The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum for two-year-olds is designed to be flexible and responsive to individual needs. It emphasizes play for learning and development in a supportive and caring learning environment.

As we celebrate 25 years of educational excellence, we are thrilled to extend our expertise to 2 years old through our new EY Prep program. Immerse your little ones in a kind, inspiring, and playful environment.

The EYFS framework and IBPYP share common principles and approaches to learning, such as a focus on inquiry, play, and child development, allowing for a smooth transition from EY prep into our EY program.

In EYFS, emphasis is place on the following:

  • Personal, Social, and Emotional Development

  • Communication and Language Physical development

  • Cognitive development

  • Understanding the world

  • Expressive Arts and Design

Approaches to Learning & Teaching

  • Playing and exploring: Children investigate and experience things, and ‘have a go’.

  • Active learning: Children concentrate and keep on trying if they encounter difficulties, and enjoy achievements.

  • Creating and thinking critically: Children have and develop their own ideas, make links between ideas, and develop strategies for doing things.
