Yale University's Low Strung Visits KIS

In celebration of our 25th Anniversary, KIS is thrilled to announce a spectacular musical treat for our community – the arrival of 14 talented cellists from Yale University's renowned Low Strung. These classically trained musicians are not your typical orchestra; they form an all-cello rock group that skillfully transforms classic songs into modern masterpieces.

Low Strung's repertoire is a testament to their creativity and musical talent. Every arrangement in their repertoire is written by the group's own members, showcasing their dedication to pushing the boundaries of traditional classical music. Imagine popular hits reimagined on the cello, creating a unique fusion of classical and contemporary sounds that promises to captivate audiences of all ages.

This contemporary rock music group will be gracing our auditorium with performances tailored for both Primary and Secondary students. 

Since its inception in 2005, Low Strung has been a trailblazer in the world of unconventional music. With over 50 original arrangements to their name, the group has been producing music with numerous CD albums released for all to enjoy. 

We extend a warm invitation to parents to join us and experience this one-of-a-kind musical journey alongside our community. Low Strung's performance promises to be a delightful blend of talent, innovation, and the joy of music, making it an event not to be missed.
