Students' Highlights: Celebrating KIS Changemakers

At KIS Bangkok, we take pride in celebrating the incredible accomplishments of our students, who embody the attributes of the IB Learner Profile and our KIS core values. Today, we honor three exceptional inspiring individuals:

Richa (Grade 3) – Caring | Creating a Caring and Inclusive Community:

When floods struck Chiang Rai, Richa stepped up to help those in need by distributing supplies to schools and villagers alongside her family. Her compassion and willingness to make a difference showcase her commitment to creating a caring and inclusive community.

Richa’s efforts inspire us all to think about how we can support those in need and advocate for reforestation to protect our planet.

Nitan (Grade 3) – Inquirer | Taking Action Ethically:

An incredible shoutout to Nitan for winning four global awards in documentary filmmaking:

Bangkok Movie Awards: Best Documentary Film & Best Student Film (Aug 2024)

Gabriel Figueroa Award: Wildlife Conservation Film Festival - Mexico

Best Student Film: ARFF Paris Around International Film Awards

Nitan’s award-winning documentary explores the crisis of declining populations and threats to wildlife habitats, highlighting the efforts of conservationists to protect endangered species, including the world’s smallest mammal—found only in Thailand. His curiosity and passion to express environmental advocacy, even as an 8-year-old, reflect the Inquirer attribute of the IB Learner Profile and the value of taking action ethically to create change for our planet.

Zijian (Grade 10) – Communicator | Nurturing Passion in Self and Others:

A huge congratulations to Zijian for achieving the highest score in Thailand on the ARSM (Associate of the Royal Schools of Music) examination! This remarkable achievement reflects his ability to communicate emotions, stories, and ideas through music. As a Communicator, Zijian inspires those around him, showcasing the importance of nurturing passion in self and others.

Each of these students exemplifies the spirit of Inspiring Individuals, showing us how care, curiosity, and passion, paired with ethical actions, can create meaningful impact.
