How Green Is Your Thumb?
Our caring and principled Early Years 3 students love to spend time in our outdoor garden.
From taking care of the soil, planting seeds, rescuing plants by propagation, and using their writing skills for labeling, gardening is a great way to develop a variety of knowledge and skills.
Gardening provides a hands-on learning experience that supports the development of a number of important skills and competencies like fine and gross motor skills, collaboration, dedication and patience.
Gardening is a great opportunity to learn about the life cycle of plants and the environment but it also allows students to improve their collaborative skills and develop a sense of responsibility by taking care of a living thing and enjoying the magic of making a seed grow into a magnificent plant.
