Praise from IB

The Primary Years Programme at KIS International School in Bangkok recently received re-authorization from the IB. All schools around the world offering IB programmes must initially be authorised to offer the programmes. Once this is completed, schools are re-evaluated every 5 years, to ensure IB standards and practices are maintained.

KIS smoothly sailed through this re-authorization, and in the final report received praise from the IB:

"KIS is a school that is committed greatly to the IB. The team teaching model is a great strength and provides teachers with a supportive collegial model in which to work. The school board provide ongoing support and are instrumental to the success of the programme. The administration has created a great sense of community and teachers are genuinely passionate and committed to the programme. The administration has encouraged teachers to take risks with their teaching and this is indicative of teacher's desire to be better educators. The fact that the administration and the school board have been at the school for eleven to twelve years is an indication of the success of the school. Many teachers have also been at the school for a number of years. The school has a great sense of community where all, including students, are happy and feel that they are in a supportive environment.  "
