KIS practices team teaching at all grade levels of the Primary Years Programme. At KIS, team teaching is defined as the partnership between two or more teaching professionals in the planning, implementing and assessing of the programme. This approach to teaching and learning provides an environment for teachers to work collaboratively, give one on one support to students, promote partnerships in learning and role modeling of collaborative work.

The Primary School facilities were specifically designed with team teaching in mind; each open plan classroom is purpose built to accommodate a double class entry, staffed by two teachers plus support staff in the Early Years Programme.
