Libraries

The KIS Primary and Secondary school libraries have seen a recent period of huge growth and expansion and feature an extensive collection of books, audio books, DVDs, periodicals and up to date reference, fiction and non fiction books to support and extend student learning.

The librarians work very closely with all Primary and Secondary school teachers to ensure that the varied collections are suitable for the courses on offer. Reading materials are available in all of the taught languages, English, Thai, Spanish and Mandarin as well as several mother tongue languages.

Technology is an integral part of the library; multimedia centres attached to the library provide students with additional resources to support their information gathering and research, using internet access through the local KIS network. The library catalog can be accessed online.

The librarians are fully trained and aim to create a true learning environment in which the students are supported in their research as well as encouraged to develop a love of reading.

The libraries at KIS are spacious, well lit and welcoming places. They provide students with world class resources to help each student develop their critical thinking and research skills, as well as their appreciation for literature.
